my personal comment about the left overs.

I think it would be more of a good advice in a subtropical (or tropical) climate like India. And even more so, if you don't have a refridgerator at hand. In a temperate cliamte and in particularly with a refridgerator in you house, I believe this advice is outdated.

correct me if I am wrong, but please be kind to provide some decent arguments.

Nice inspiring article. Thank you.

The most popular of the physical healing methods for correction of skeletal problems are likely to be the chiropractors and osteopaths or the medically trained physiotherapists.

Peepee and Twisted thinker, I suggest you read up the facts on the field before ridiculing the author. Ayurveda does consider milk to be a poison, though only for a few types of people. For e.g, a kapha person should avoid milk as it tends to rapidly increase the fat in him. Poison is not one that will suffocate you, go red and die with your tongue pulled out... it is that which clogs your system and slowly degenerated your feeling of lightness and well-being.

Gee, you'd figure that if milk was a poison, then everyone but the lactose intolerant people would be dead by now.

Looks like anyone can call themselves a doctor over the internet.

Just a thought- I think you mean "nine milligrams" of Fe in rye. Nine grams of iron would kill a man.

Hi Gina,

We all eat leftover food. In ancient India it was a custom to cook meals thrice a day. So that it was piping hot and fresh.

Foods in Ayurveda are classified as Sattvic meaning pure and energetic and they include vegan foods and raw vegetables and fruits.

Rajasic foods are stimulating foods, which are spicy, pungent, sour. Some examples are pickles. They are supposed to stimulate the body into anger and restlessness

Tamasic foods are foods, which are leftover food, that are frozen, meats are bad and highly processed foods that make you sluggish and slothful.

It is amazing, how good the ancient seers were in holistic nutrition and conscious of microbial contamination of food, when there wasn't even a microscope.

Cheers!
