If You Eat Meat You’re Eating Feces!

feces in meat

I don’t know about the rest of you out there, but I don’t like to eat fecal matter. If you’re eating meat, you are undoubtedly eating feces. Feces belongs in the toilet or used for fertilizer, not human consumption.

Wondering why you get sick so often?
Why you have about 20 nasty colds per year? Why get get those stomach viruses? Why you get sore / strep throat? Why you have no energy? Why you are tired all day long after 8 hours of sleep?

Well, I’m sure it has a lot to do with meat consumption. It’s bad enough that you cells are being invaded with toxin-riddled flesh, now your body has to deal with animal waste on top of that! Phew….

Would you sprinkle dried pellets of human feces on your salad? No, I don’t think you would. But you may as well, since you’re already enjoying plenty of feces every time you bite into a juicy hamburger or rip a part some “mouth watering” steak. Think about that the next time you consume some animal flesh.

Washington, D.C.-A new study shows that 84 percent of adults have no idea that the primary source of salmonella, campylobacter, E. coli, and other foodborne pathogens on poultry and meat is animal feces.

The survey of 1,000 men and women was completed during the period of July 26-29, 2001, by Opinion Research Corporation International on behalf of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM). Foodborne illnesses are at epidemic levels in the United States; the Centers for Disease Control estimate there are at least 76 million cases each year, usually from consumption of animal products.

“Our findings show the vast majority of Americans do not understand there are feces on meat and poultry,” says PCRM staff attorney Mindy Kursban. “In fact, there’s a major disconnect in the public consciousness between the foodborne illnesses that sicken so many of us and their originating cause: animal excrement.”

Survey respondents answered the following question: “When salmonella and other disease-causing bacteria are found on meat and poultry, which of the following do you think BEST describes where these bacteria originally came from?”

The answers were as follows:

  • “They [foodborne pathogens] came from animal blood.” [10 percent]
  • “They came from dirty hands.” [19 percent]
  • “They are naturally present in the meat.” [17 percent]
  • “They are naturally present in the animal’s skin.” [9 percent]
  • “They came from animal feces.” [16 percent]
  • “They came from dirty air in a slaughter house.” [15 percent]
  • Didn’t think any of these were the right answer or didn’t know. [13 percent]
  • Doctors Petition USDA to Ensure “Feces-Free” Meat or Issue Biohazard Labels

Oh God… if this doesn’t turn people to the vegan side… what will? UGhhhhh!!! its painful to really consider the consequences of our choices. To eat a burger and be blind to what we are doing to our bodies is just unacceptable in this era. When so much info is made available to us, we muct do something with it.

I know that this is “Vegan Campus” and it oriented toward a vegan lifestyle, but in a nutshell, humans are omnivores, but we are more towards herbivores than carnivores. I.e. the design of our teeth (designed for grinding plant matter: cow, horse, or tearing flesh: dog, bear, tiger), length of digestive tract (long: 30″ for digest of plants or short: 9″ for digestion of meat/flesh), strength of stomach acid (weak in a cow, or strong in a tiger), etc. But, the issue here is the conditions, preparation, handling, etc. at the meat plants before the meat makes it to your table. The conditions at the slaughter/packing houses are a disgrace. Dirty, filthy. With all the blood, guts and decaying matter on hand, the conditions are ideal for all kinds of pathogens. I think that even most meat eaters would think differently about their next steak if they were to visit a plant. You don’t hear/see much about it until an epidemic breaks out and even then, the plants, inspectors, meat industry/councils try to cover it up. Basically, it’s all about money, from the farmers who raise the cattle, to the beef associations who tell you “beef, it’s what’s for dinner”, to the slaughter houses, to the suppliers that sell the stuff, to your table. None of them care as long as they are making money. At the slaughter/packing house, it’s all about money. Hire the lowest wage employees they can. Do you think they care about washing their hands after using the toilet? Cleaning the plant would cost them money. Inspecting the product would cost them money. If meat falls on the floor, they just pick it up and send it to you because it is their valuable product. Feces in/on the meat? Who cares as long as they are making money. They guess it’s all OK until someone gets really sick or dies and then they will try and shift the blame. USDA inspectors are overworked and underpaid and can’t possibly inspect all the meat running through a high volume operation. When they gut an animal (called evisceration) after it is killed, the contents of their stomach (partially digested food), intestines (feces in the making) and bladder (urine) makes it’s way onto the meat. Even if they try and do a careful job (which they probably don’t), it is inevitable that some contamination occurs from the animals waste products during the slaughtering (called dressing) process. My fingers are too tired to type any more, but you get the picture. It’s enough to make you want to f**ck**g vomit!

I am a health inspector and therefore know a bit about this issue. Meat can become infected with feces; however, the slaughter process and those associated with it are under strict regulations. This cannot be said about general agricultural processes. Think mushrooms…they are grown directly in feces. As stated above…”Feces belongs in the toilet or used for fertilizer, not human consumption.” Do you understand what fertilizer is? It is used to grow food. Therefore, food such as vegetables that is grown in this fertilizer has the potential to become contaminated (and it will). So for every piece of fruit or vegetable that you do not wash with soap, water and scrubbing you will be consuming fecal matter. Meat at least is always (well generally) cooked which kills the majority of pathogenic bateria found in feces.

Thank you Sarah for that educated comment. In your opinon would you agree with the argument posted by David Askaripour (the guy who posted the first comment) to say that “if your eating meat your eating feces”.

And would you know if there is enough evidence to say that it is healthier for people not to eat meat due to the potential contamination with feces?

I do not agree with the comment “if your eating meat your eating feces.” There is always that potential; however, it is rare.
It is NOT healthier to avoid eating meat because of this small risk. If the meat you are consuming has been properly cooked there will be no fecal pathogens left.
The healthiest diet is one that combines all foods in moderation.

i plan on eating this “shit” no matter what everyone says. Since “feces” is used as fertilizer does this mean theres no traces of the “feces” in the plant. I guess we should stop breathing too since there are so many toxins. My teeth were made to eat meat so thats the way it is. Chicken, Beef, Pork, Turkey, get used to it.

So, the healthiest people are usually vegans.

Vegans who eat properly, that is. Vegans can eat all nutrients they need (inCLUDING B12, guys–nutritional yeast, duh!), and when studies are done in which one group is put on a vegan diet and another is put on a “everything in moderation diet,” vegans tend to have the better health in the end.

You can look those studies up on your own. I’m sure you’re big boys and girls.

that slap of meat your eating is dead what good is dead meat for your body. i can’t even look at what they do to these animals it’s horrible and to think that they make huge profits. some people just can’t live and let live no they have to kill on such a massive level. and raising so many animals no wonder sometimes veges get contaminated your meat is messing up the soil otherwise we would not have that problem i think some meat eater’s need some help. go to google and type in meat contamination. maby you’ll find some fact there. its all there if you can actually read

    24. June 18, 2008 at 5:53 pm | Permalink

its been proven scientifically that the billions of cows, pigs and birds butchered every year in the U.S. is contaminated with dangerous bacteria like E.coli, campylobacter, listeria, and other bacteria that live in the intestinal tracts and feces of animals.they say it only takes a few bacteria to make us sick. 5000 people die every year from eating these animals. and alot more get very sick. according to former usda microbiologist gerald kuester, there’s about fifty points during processing where cross contamination can occur, at the end of the line, the birds are no cleaner than if they had been dipped in a dirty toilet. so if that doesn’t bother you at all. i’ll just wish you bon appetite and when you bring this meat home every thing that it comes in contact with in your kitchen can also become contaminated. so even if you cook it’s still every where it touch before it was cooked even cold cuts are high risk foods. besides eating any thing that comes from a slaughter house just doesn’t sit right with some people. and raw plant food makes you feel so much better.you all should try it mabe then your brain will start thinking more clearly cause too much meat really is not good for the soul. and the USDA, the F.D.A. along with the centers for disease control and prevention have collectively identified cold cuts as high risk foods. but you don’t care and will keep eating slaughtered animals. so i hope you enjoy your salmonella mabe that will put you out of your misery

i’m so a paled that you think it’s ok to treat other living beings that way its so disgusting whats being done in this country with the inhumane treatment that goes on. these animals can’t live a normal life can never feel the sun on there backs there whole life is lived in misery you people make me sick just the thought of you.these animals are torn away from all natural instincts just so man can live in gluttony and profits no wonder they don’t want us to see what goes on. they are put in cages so small they can’t even turn around or even lie down. only the lowest people would think that is ok if people would only get up off there stupid asses and work together to change things for the better this country could be so much better for every living thing but some people just accept what ever is handed to them no matter what the cost. alot of the things done to these animals are banned in other country’s why can’t we. so far i’m not seeing much good going on must be all the war games and war. every thing changes why not for the better

I would like to reiterate…the cooking process for meat will kill the bacteria people are talking about. E.coli…sure it’s scary but cooking will kill it. Same with campylobacter and listeria etc. People stated below that meat kills so many people per year and so on. But do you know that most of the food recalls that occur in North America are towards vegan friendly products. Look at tomatoes right now.
I think what people need to think about is the fact that you will never scare or threaten someone into eating or not eating meat. Mayeb rather than fighting in this forum and saying people who eat meat are dump or vegans are stupid you should just learn to accept that everyone is different and embrace that.
Honestly the people who are the most radical are probably the most unimfprmed but have the biggest mouths.
I have been to slaughter houses and it’s not pretty, but it’s also not as bad as I had thought it would be.
Is it unethical to kill animals, should we live and let live? My opinion is that my body was made to eat meat so that’s what I will do.

First, just like religious zealots, I wish vegans would keep their beliefs to themselves and try not to convert the rest of the world into their lifestyle. Second, I don’t think there is enough evidence to say that it is healthier for people not to eat meat due to the potential contamination with feces. Why? Look at the veggie issues in the past year, contaminated spinach, tomatoes contaminated with salmonella. Honestly, I don’t believe meat kills that many people each year, there are far more deadly things in the world than a good steak.

      A CARBON TAX ON MEAT

      Deja,

Most of your readers are aware of the proposed “carbon market”. The carbon “credit” market would trade carbon that is actively added to the atmosphere for the carbon passively retained or subtracted by the world’s rain forests. It makes proactive environmentalism – profitable.

Deforestation is caused, in large part, by cattle farmers who constantly demand more grazing lands. Beef and dairy cattle consume a significant percentage of the world’s fresh water and marketable grain. They’re eating up the rain forests.

Since meat producers destroy rain forests to make huge profits from meat – a carbon tax on all meat and dairy products (consistent with taxes imposed on energy polluters) seems proper – perhaps within your lifetime, inevitable.

Vegan bloggers, like you, should use their worldwide platforms to promote a global carbon tax on meat producers and consumers. Governments should award carbon credits to people who abstain.

In the past, I have advocated a health surtax on meat products similar to the tax on cigarettes and liquor. As with tobacco and alcohol, the health dangers and healthcare costs of eating meat have been established.

One last thought: I am 94 years old. I have been a vegan for 90 of those years. What have I learned? Health facts, social concerns, moral imperatives and sympathy for animals is not enough. Only financial self-interest will move the vegan cause forward.

He is terrible to read these information of the obstructed vegetarians Because they do not know anything to do of the evolution of our species, we have been human with great brains thanks to the meat consumption. In the past there were two branches of human relatives, the one Parantrophus ate single vegetables and was robust and single they lived in a specified atmosphere. With he himself type of feeding after 800,000 years they were always extinguished by not knowing like adapting to the changes.

The other human branch these were the Homo Habilis however if they ate meat and they followed his way and they developed a greater brain and this single one went thanks to the consumption of meat and of meat it is decomposition with bacteria and diseases worse than those than are mentioned, but these Homo adapted the bacteria and adaptable as adverse climates were transformed much more many years into beings as the age of Ice where the Neandertal inhabited another human species that ate meat in a 90% almost and was of but the successful species.

And the other species was the Homo primitive Sapiens that lives in a very serious drought and also it ate meat. As they see the human beings are adapted to the diet with last meat and very severe things and it will continue them happening.

The nature already proved with apes and homínidos 100% vegetarians but were extinguished.

And it proved with a Biped Ape that could eat meat and of hyenas and lions eaten rotted and that species I finish in us.

What about the fertilizers that are used to feed plants? If you’re eating vegetables you are eating feces too. I think there’s a lot more poo on plants then on meat.

Meat is baked, it kills the bacteria.

And at sunflower, I’m sorry to say this, but eating only algae, is not balanced. If I would eat only algae for one year, I would become weak. And if you would want to eat something that truly doesn’t live, you’d have to eat protagonists. Eating algae is ‘murder’ too.

To all vegetarians, and vegans out there…

Having done business with many packing houses and meat processing facilities over the years, I can state that conditions are quite alarming. Ironically, the conditions in facilities for processing dog and cat food are more sterile than an emergency room but those for human consumption are absurd. You have to wear getup like a doctor in the pet food facilities but in the human ones, hell, smoke a cigar, crap on the floor, who cares!

Having said this, it must also be noted that the processing of vegetables is not doody free either. Given the conditions in a lot of the vegetable packing facilities, those products aren’t real spiffy.

Maybe this is why there is a cultural tradition of drinking an alcoholic beverage while dining. If one has to eat excreta, the booze dulls the concern! LOL

Eh mister Pee, just to make sure you know, plants rot easier then meat.

For meat to become shit you need two things:
      - Bacteria
      - Very small eukaryotes

Bacteria will make the meat rot, the small eukaryotes eat the rotting meat and crap out what resonable people call humus.
If you’re as stupid to eat the crap of larger animals you can say you’re eating poo… Or feces :)

Humans who eat animals are not cruel. Don’t be ridiculous, people. Animals kill and eat each other. Some species of animals even kill one another for dominance or status. Watch the animal channel.
It’s been stated here before, but I will say it again because it seems like A LOT of people are stuck in their own mind set and just don’t listen. Humans are supposed to eat animals. Yes, we are. Sure, we can chose not to, but we are natural born meat eaters. Certain essential proteins that our body needs can only be found in meat. I am aware that beans offer a lot of protein, etc, but not the same found in meat. I think the key is to eat meat in moderation. I think the best diet is a small amount of meat and a lot of fruit and vegetables. But to rule out meat completely is your own decision. It doesn’t mean it’s the right decision for your body, though. Agree or disagree. We need meat AND fruits and vegetables.
Also, I feel I should remind the vegans and vegetarians that fruits and vegetables can also make people sick, not just meat. I know this was mentioned before, but like I said earlier..some people are just ignoring the facts and preaching nonsense which I personally find annoying. Someone mentioned tomatoes and spinach before. Some people ate those contaminated vegetables and died. It’s not just meat, it’s all of the food we consume. It doesn’t mean one thing is better than the other, or ones way of life is better than the other. It means we have to be more careful and cook things completely and wash them.

ha ha ha, i accidently stumbeled onto this site whilst trying to find out why our dog had eat my shit whilst camping. whilst the immoral treatment of animails for profit in the food industry and subsequent chemical “enhancements” are fundemently wrong, remember what has been pointed out on this site about vegetables, they grow in shit. And just because you made a CHOICE to not eat meat doesnt mean you can feed our ears shit just coz you really, really want a burger. Also the amount of hypocritical vegans who wear leather is hilarious. Please consider that to erradicate animals from human use (exept as pets) would lead ultimatley them becuming redundant as the fields the graze in would be used for shit ridden crops. honestly ive never herd so much shit in my life ha ha ha

I wrote something here earlier, but for reason I do not understand, it was deleted.
I mentioned how animals kill each other for food and even for dominance. I compared the behavior of animals to humans and stated that we are not cruel for eating animals; it’s in our nature. I also wanted to show how silly it is to rant and rave about how bad meat eaters are for killing animals when animals do the same to one another. It’s the circle of life. Complaining about people who eat meat and saying they are cruel is almost as ridiculous as going to the jungle and yelling at a lion for wanting to eat a zebra.
I also mentioned how we as humans are designed to eat meat, and if you chose not to eat meat than that is your right and your choice, but it isn’t necessarily the right choice for your body. I mentioned how beans are a good source of protein, but they are not the best protein for our bodies; meat is, because it contains a certain type of protein, essential acids, iron and b12 that you just cannot get from beans alone.
I mentioned how the healthiest thing one can do is eat meat in moderation. We need it, along with lots of fruits and vegetables.
I mentioned how meat can be dangerous if it is consumed uncooked or undercooked, and I also mentioned how vegetables can also harm us if they are contaminated and not washed properly. I said that the best thing we can do to avoid getting sick is just to cook and clean our food, and that there really is no argument. One way of life is not better than the other, or the right way.

I will continue to repost my opinion on here if what I have to say keeps getting deleted.

Also, show us the scientific link that proves that animal meat contains feces. You were asked to provide it before yet you never did. Interesting..
